Candidate Data Notice

This notice explains how THE GRAND BLUE Limited handles the personal information you provide when you apply through this site.

Who we are

THE GRAND BLUE Limited, 1-6-5 Azabu-Juban, Minato-ku, Tokyo 106-0045, Japan, operates BAR CENTIFOLIA and this recruitment site. We are the controller of the information you submit here.

What we collect

We do not ask for your nationality, citizenship or country of birth, and you should not include this information in your application.

Why we use it

To assess your application, to introduce you to the operating partner for the location you select, and to contact you about your application and about future openings.

Who we share it with

Your application, including your CV, is shared with the operating partner responsible for the location you select. That partner conducts its own selection process and is the prospective employer.

Partners are located in Japan and in the United States. If you are applying from outside those countries, your information will be transferred internationally. The United States does not have a data protection framework recognised as equivalent to that of the EU or the UK; we share your information only for the purpose of assessing your application, and only with partners who have agreed to handle it confidentially.

We do not sell your information and we do not share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Twelve months from the date you apply, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. If you are hired, your information transfers to your employment records with the relevant employer.

Your rights

You may ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Write to careers@yuzobar.com and we will respond within a reasonable period.

If you are in the EU or the UK, you also have the right to object to processing, to request that we restrict it, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you are in Japan, you may contact the Personal Information Protection Commission.

Automated decisions

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling to assess applications. Every application is read by a person.

Changes

We will update this notice if our practices change. The current version is always the one shown here.
